Laos New Digital Immigration System

From 1st September 2025, Laos will launch a trial Digital Immigration Registration system for both arrivals and departures. (https://immigration.gov.la/en/home) Travellers can now complete their entry and exit details online up to 3 days before travel, making procedures faster and smoother.

Pilot locations:

Wattay International Airport (Vientiane)
Luang Prabang International Airport
Pakse International Airport
First Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge (Vientiane–Nong Khai)

What to do for Arrival:

Complete the online arrival registration within 3 days before arrival
Receive a QR code which can either be printed or kept on your phone
Present the QR code at immigration.

What to do for Departure:

Complete the online departure registration within 3 days before departure
Receive a QR code which can either be printed or kept on your phone
Present the QR code at immigration.

As many of you realize, we only have a limited number of our personal, highly knowledgeable & qualified English Speaking Guides in Thailand – and as we get in to High Season Guide availability is sometimes an issue, also in order to maintain consistent high quality for your Clients, our trips within Thailand, are only operated by our own staff and we do not subcontract work to other companies.

We do currently still have some Guide availability in October & November, so if you have Clients thinking of Thailand , then we suggest an early decision to avoid any disappointments.
