DAY 5. After Breakfast and Check out we transfer to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport for your Lunchtime flight to Luang Prabang in Laos. On arrival at Luang Prabang Airport you will be met by our Laos Representative and we transfer to La Residence Phou Vao Hotel. Your reservation here is for the next 3 nights and includes Breakfast in The rest of the afternoon is at your leisure or available for local sightseeing.(Again specific aspects of your Sightseeing can be discussed with your Guide).

DAY 6. Today we explore Luang Prabang, the former Royal Capital City of Laos and now a complete World Heritage Site. We can visit the Principal Temples including Wat Xieng Thong, the local markets and other place to your interest - specific details can be discussed with your Guide. In the late afternoon we climb the steps of the Wat Phousi Temple for a panoramic view of the city and the surrounding hills at sunset.

DAY 7. Special Early Morning Experience
This morning we leave the Resort early and take part in a merit making ceremony by giving Alms (some food & drink, etc.) to the local Monks. This is a moving sight with many Saffron Robed Monks walking out of the Temple. We return to the Resort for Breakfast after which we visit the former Royal Palace which is now the National Museum.

Rest of the day at your leisure in Luang Prabang, Guide and Driver are at your disposal and available for local sight seeing, Shopping, the local markets.etc. (Again Specific interests etc. can be discussed with your Guide) a possible suggestion would be a visit to the local waterfalls.

DAY 8. (Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday for LuangSay River Cruise)
After early check out we transfer to Luang Prabang pier to Board the  LuangSay River Cruise. (Please note Boat departs @ 07.30am) to commence our cruise up the Mekong to Pakbeng.

A continental breakfast is served while the boat is cruising to Pak Ou Village, at the mouth of the Nam Ou River, where you will visit the Tam Ting “Caves of a Thousand Buddha’s”. Have a buffet lunch on board then stop at a hilltribe village where you can watch the traditional process of Lao whiskey production. Arrive at Pak Beng around sunset and check in at LuangSay Lodge. Dinner on the terrace, overlooking the Mekong River.

DAY 9. Full breakfast at the Lodge. At 07.00am we re- board the boat for the second leg of the cruise. En route one stop is made to observe rural life along the Mekong and discover minorities, having a buffet lunch on board and continue to HoueiSay where you will arrive before 17.00pm.

On arrival at Chiang Khong, after completing Immigration procedures, you will be once agin met by your Wanna Tours Guide and transfer you to The Anantara Resort & Spa, Golden Triangle, located overlooking the Golden Triangle. Your reservation here is for  the next 3 Nights and includes breakfast. (Transfer time from Chiang Khong to Anantara Resort is approx 1 - 1 1/2 hours & again Specific aspects of your Northern Thailand Sightseeing, etc. can be discussed with your Guide).

DAY 10. Today we travel to the Northern most town in Thailand - Mae Sai on the Burma (Myanmar) Border, where we have the opportunity to cross over and take a short "Samlor" ride around the small Burmese town of Tachilek.(Subject to the Border being open). After lunch, we continue to Doi Tung, famous for it's mountain Temple with spectacular views, and take a look around the King’s Mothers Home and the beautiful gardens of this Royal Palace.

DAY 11. After Breakfast, we can visit to the nearby, very interesting and unique Hall of Opium (approx 2 hours walk through time).  The rest of the day is at your leisure in the Resort - Possible Spa Treatments, etc. or available for some further exploration around the Golden Triangle (Again specific details, etc.. can be discussed with your Guide).

DAY 12. After Breakfast & check out, we take the scenic drive South through mountains to Chiangmai, stopping at some of the various Ethnic Hill Tribe Villages that populate this mountainous area and other points of interest.(Specific Routing and places of interest can be discussed with your Guide – quite a long day driving). We should arrive in Chiangmai in the late afternoon, here we will transfer to The Four Seasons Resort, Chiangmai. Your Reservation here is for the next 4 nights and includes Breakfast.

DAY 13. Today is at your leisure in the Resort - Possibly Cooking School or Spa Treatments, etc. or available for local sightseeing in and around Chiangmai (Again specific details, etc.. can be discussed with your Guide)

DAY 14. Today we drive North to the Chiang Dao Elephant Camp. On arrival we will see the Elephants bathing in the river after which there is an interesting demonstration of training and working Elephants. We then take an Elephant Ride through the "jungle" to a Lisu Hill Tribe Village (approx. 45 minutes). After a look around the Village to see the Hill Tribes way of life, we return by Elephant, or have the option for a short walk back to the Elephant Camp, where we have a gentle trip down-river on a Bamboo Raft (approx. 45 minutes).

We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant and then drive to the Queen Sirikit Botanical Gardens for a look around these impressive Gardens, which have been compared by experts to the famous Kew Gardens in London and we can also call in to see a local Orchid Garden before returning to the Hotel.

DAY 15. This morning we visit to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, the most venerated Temple in Chiangmai, situated on the hill-side some 3000 ft. above the City in the Doi Pui National Park. Here we can climb the 306 stairs, to reach the Temple which encloses a large traditional, "Lanna" style Chedi covered with gold plates (A small mountain Tram is also available if the stairs are too much effort!!) From the Temple Grounds there are also panoramic views over Chiangmai and the surrounding area.

On our descent, we can visit Wat U-mong, the unusual Forest Temple in the foothills of the mountain, after which we can drive around the Old, Moated City of Chiangmai. During the rest of the day we can spend in and around Chiangmai City, again specific interests and details can be discussed with your Guide, but could include visiting some of the various Traditional Local Handicrafts & Craft villages that Chiangmai is renowned for or other Cultural & Historical sights to your interest.(Again specific aspects of your Sightseeing, etc. can also be discussed with your Guide).

DAY 16. After Breakfast and check out from the resort, we transfer you to Chiangmai Airport for your onward flight.
