Greetings from Chiangmai

It was great to meet up with so many of you during the Virtuoso Travel Mart – and just to prove how hard we were working...

Seriously… We are now back into the swing again and getting ready for our High Season here in Thailand (which in spite of the Economic Climate – is looking up…!!) ..
But we still have a way to go to reach last year’s levels – so with Hotels still being “generous” with their Rates, now is a great time for your Clients to visit Thailand.

Hotel Promotions
Following on from the above, as we have mentioned in our Newsletters & Mailings, many Hotels have extended their Promotions & Discounts for New Bookings for this Summer Season – until October 2009.

However The Chedi Chiangmai – have given us a VERY SPECIAL Promotion for their Chedi Club Suite – Valid until 20th December 2009 –

So by taking advantage of this Amazing Special Rate being offered to us by the Hotel and combining this with our own renowned Private Touring Program, we are happy to offer our New Private CHEDI Chiangmai “Suite ” Program and have sent this with the mailing for this month’s Newsletter.

So If your Clients need a break– and still want to keep to a “Luxury Level” – then now is the best time to Experience Thailand – without “breaking the bank” !!.

As most of you know, we generally do not send out specific Program Offers – However, We felt it that these are such good deals – it would be a shame for your Clients to miss out on these – if they happen to be in our Region….

Loy Kratong Festival
As you may (or may not !) be aware the Loy Kratong Festival takes place in Chiangmai in November each year. This is also one of Chiangmai’s major Festivals, which is an annual festival to pay tribute to the Spirits of the Water in which thousands of Krathongs (small flower boats) are released on the river and there is a carnival-like procession through the City on the 2 main nights.

This year the Festival will be over the 1-2 November – and if you do have Clients visiting during this period then we would usually plan to have our Guide bring Clients into the City to experience some of the Festival.
Obviously also a very busy time here (for Visitors & Locals) –Flights & Hotels do get quite heavily booked so an early decision for traveling over this period is recommended.

Christmas & New Year
Just following on from the above, we do know many Clients (especially with Families) do want to travel over the Christmas & New Year Period. Again with the current Economic environment, business is currently generally down over this period compared to last year, so many Hotels & Resorts are relaxing their usual “Restrictions” over this period such as Minimum stay requirements, etc.
However, we are beginning to see demand picking up again – So if you do have any Clients thinking about a Trip here over the Christmas & New Year Period, we would urge you to let us know as soon as you can, in order to avoid any disappointments.

Advance Notice
We have been invited by Six Senses Resorts to check out their Phuket Properties – Evason Phuket, Six Senses Yao Noi Resort & Six Senses Destination Spa.

(Hey, I know it’s a tough job – but someone has to do it….)..It looks like we will probably be doing this Next Month, but will keep you updated and of course have our “report” in our next Newsletter.

Also, we plan to pop over to Luang Prabang in early November to experience the new Amantaka, so againhave our “report” in a future Newsletter.
