Greetings from a Sunny (& becoming Cool...) Chiangmai

Non-Receipt of E-Mails
We recently advised many of you that in the last few of weeks one or two Agents have advised they have not received any reply from us to their e.mail enquiries  …

Naturally we send out many, many e.mails a day and generally assume they all go through OK. –
And as most of you know we always reply to all requests within 24 working hours of receipt (and usually much less !) – So when you do send us a request and if you do not hear from us in 24 (working) hours – Please do let us know so we can re-send.

Bangkok Airways Suspends Routes
As you may have seen in the Press Bangkok Airways (PG) has suspended several of its regional routes –

• Bangkok – Krabi
• Bangkok - Ho Chi Minh City
• Bangkok - Xi’an
• Bangkok - Guilin
• Bangkok - Hiroshima

They also announced the suspension of flight services between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, as the government has not extended Bangkok Airways’ license to operate on this route

The only operator currently on this route is the new national carrier Cambodia Angkor Air (K6 / VN)

This airline was launched on July 27 2009 and is a joint venture between the Cambodian Government and Vietnam Airlines. The airline operates between Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City and between Siem Reap and Ho Chi Minh City. We hope to see flights operating between Siem Reap and Sihanoukville soon.

There is also a possibility that Siem Reap Airlines, the Phnom Penh-based carrier, that had previously been grounded for safety reasons at the end of 2008, but having now cleared all relevant safety checks may well be again be operating domestic and international services from the capital…. Watch this space…!!

Four Seasons Resort Chiangmai - Private Pool Villas

Le Meridien Chiangmai – Promotion Extended

So if you have Clients that do not need the “super luxury” of the Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental, but want to be “downtown” and still have their “comforts”, (and now at a very reasonable rate !), then this may well be a good option for them.

**As most of you will realize, Rates & Promotions are offered to us on the understanding that they are not sold alone, but as part of an overall package- and for New Bookings (not existing bookings) only.

So as such we are not able to provide individual Hotel Rates, nor in general to offer solely Hotel Bookings but would include accommodation (and the associated offers) as part of an overall Private Program.
