Greetings from Chiangmai

Although there are NO reported cases in Thailand at the moment, as reported in the Media, Thailand along with many other Countries have Thermal Scans now fully operational at all gateway airports in Thailand, Nothing for your Clients to be worried about but just for your information.

Our Travels Around Thailand
Well it’s currently our “hot” Season so last weekend we were up in the (somewhat cooler) Hills of Chiangrai Province and visited a couple of places that caught our attention…

Katilya Mountain Resort (www.katiliya.com) – Coming soon…..
This is a brand new – All Suite Mountain Resort situated about half way between Chiangrai City & the Golden Triangle. While being Boutique” in concept (only 59 Suites in total), once fully completed, it will be a Full Service Resort, with a superior Spa and already a Great Restaurant..
Now the draw of this property will certainly be the Suites – they are big.. The individual suites range in size from 90 to 110 square meters,( over 1000 sq ft)  all include very well appointed, spacious Bathrooms and large private balconies that open to magnificent views of the hills & forests.
While still in the final stages of development, I would think that by the end of the year this property (especially in regard to the size of the Suites !!) could well challenge the likes of The Anantara Golden Triangle for Clients who want a secluded getaway with great accommodations.

We visited this property late last year just after it soft-opened and as reported then, that we believed this property would become the best Full Service Hotel in Chiangrai City and the immediate area.
After staying there this weekend, we now fully endorse that – naturally not in the same league as the Four Seasons Tented Camp and without the unique location of The Anantara Golden Triangle, but the Le Meridien Chiangrai Resort is certainly a very nice property, with all the new stylish design concepts that Le Meridein are introducing to all their new hotels, just out of the City peacefully located on the river bank.
A perfect solution for Clients who want to visit the Chiangrai & Golden Triangle area at more affordable rates, but still keeping to a very high standard.
